Christian
Alandete est critique d’art et curateur.
Responsable
des expositions et des éditions à la Fondation Giacometti, Paris, il y est
également chargé des relations avec les artistes contemporains. Il a coordonné
plus d’une vingtaine de publications consacrées à Alberto Giacometti coéditées
par la Fondation. Il a été commissaire associé des rétrospectives Giacometti à
Istanbul, Landerneau, Shanghai et d’expositions thématiques à Nice, Doha et
Séoul. Il a également assuré le commissariat d’une dizaine d’expositions d’art
contemporain en France et à l’étranger.
Ses
recherches portent principalement sur les relations entre l’art contemporain et
l’histoire de l’art et plus particulièrement l’histoire de la période moderne.
En 2018, il est commissaire de l’exposition École(s) suédoise(s) de Paris à
l’Institut suédois et co-commissaire de la rétrospective Henry Moore au Fonds Hélène & Edouard Leclerc à Landerneau.
Il
programme les cycles de performances Partitions
(Performances) à la Fondation d’entreprise Ricard depuis 2008 et Prolongations au Fonds Leclerc.
Il
a été formé au commissariat en Suède dans le cadre du programme CuratorLab deKonstfack University of Arts de Stockholm.
